How to use the Volunteer Hub
Guidance for participation, account access, and your role dashboard.
Create your volunteer profile
Select your campus, interests, and skills during registration. These choices help the system recommend relevant opportunities.
Create an accountFind and join an activity
Browse by campus or category, open the activity details, then select Join Now. Sign in with your PSU account to register.
Browse opportunitiesCancel a registration
Open your volunteer dashboard. Eligible future registrations include a cancellation action. Completed or attended activities cannot be cancelled.
Attendance and participation
Your campus coordinator can record check-in from 30 minutes before the activity starts. Check-in alone does not confirm completion or certificate eligibility. After the scheduled end, the coordinator saves final attendance to confirm completed participation. For legacy activities without an end time, final attendance opens at the scheduled start.
How recommendations work
Recommendations compare your interests and skills with activity requirements using cosine similarity. They support your decision and do not guarantee suitability or a slot.
Account problems
For a deactivated account, submit a reactivation request from the sign-in screen. For other access issues, contact your campus Extension Coordinator.
